On Friday 3 May, the Lingo Club hosted a unique event at the Institute of Technology. Both Erasmus and LyIT students invited local second level students to engage in language learning activities. The two hour long event was divided into two sessions: the first session introduced the visitors to tasters in lesser known languages such as Japanese, Russian and Polish; while the second session built on the students’ already existing competence in both French and German. All participants were rewarded for their efforts with cinema vouchers from Century Cinemas, while the Best Language Learners in each language were awarded vouchers for Curry’s.
